โš ๏ธ What does that mean? Hanging weight is the side of beef before itโ€™s aged, trimmed, and cut. After dry-aging and butchering, youโ€™ll receive about 52%โ€“60% of that weight as packaged, freezer-ready meat โ€” typically around 42โ€“50 lbs. of beef for your freezer.
